Becky holds a signing at Greenway to celebrate Agatha Christie's birthday
Stunning setting, fabulous sunshine and an artist signing all to celebrate the birth of 'The Queen of Crime' Agatha Christie at her former summer residence Greenway on 15 September 2016. Set on the banks of the River Dart in the picturesque South Hams you instantly feel drawn back to a bygone era. Becky was invited by the National Trust for a signing of her beautiful collection of Greenway prints and posters which include Greenway House, Greenway Lady on a Bench, Greenway Trees, Greenway River Dart fishing boat and the latest in the collection, The Boathouse. A truly memorable day and thank you so much to the fabulous National Trust Greenway Shop Manager, Kym Leech for organising such a lovely event and inviting me to be part of it!
"We were lucky enough to be joined by artist Becky Bettesworth, who spent the afternoon of the 126th anniversary of Agatha Christie’s birth at Christie’s holiday home, Greenway. She set up a table at the entrance to the shop, displaying her vintage style posters (some of which even feature Greenway, the River Dart and the Boathouse) along with some of her other lovely products and some tasty sweets. Becky was a huge hit with visitors, who asked her to sign their posters, and some visitors who’d honoured the day by dressing as Poirot and Miss Marple, posed for photos with her."
