The Dartmoor Line Re-Opens After 50 years

On Wednesday 17th November 2021 I was privileged to be invited to the VIP opening of the Dartmoor Line from Exeter to Okehampton. The Right Honourable Secretary of State for Transport Grant Shapps arrived on the train into Okehampton Station (which was wrapped in my Dartmoor artwork) and was greeted by local school children, stakeholders and residents all waving flags with my Dartmoor artwork on. 

It was a very special day and I was invited to present my Limited Edition Dartmoor Line artwork to Grant Shapps, Mike Howarth the Managing Director of GWR and Michelle Handforth the Managing Director of Network Rail and Sir Peter Hendy the Chairman at Network Rail. The whole day was filled with 1940s nostalgia with a brass band and entertainment from the Hummingbirds. 

A huge thank you to GWR and Network Rail for choosing my artwork and congratulations on delivering this vital rail link to Okehampton opening up another gateway to Dartmoor.
