I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to join the Creative Christian Network Torquay branch this week to present the school's competition awards at the beautiful Spanish Barn at Torre Abbey Museum for their latest exhibition HOME. The exhibition showcases a creative response to the theme HOME. On display is work from CCN members as well as visitors to the Art Workshops at St Mags Living Room (many of whom have and still are experiencing homelessness) and competition entries from local schools, Ellacombe C of E Academy plus others. A special Celebration Day will be hosted Saturday 7th with live...
I had a wonderful afternoon visiting the students at Galmpton Primary School. The children have been working on an art project based on my work. It is always such a pleasure to be invited into schools to meet the children and the teachers. Children are so inspirational and their artwork was just wonderful. I loved chatting to them all and hearing about what images they had chosen and why. Thank you to all the staff, children and parents at Galmpton Primary School for making me so very welcome and for choosing my artwork to inspire you all.
I spent a lovely day visiting the children at Chudleigh Knighton School. Their project was entitled "Glorious Devon" so they chose my artwork as inspiration. The children shared their beautiful artwork and stories about living in Devon with me. All pieces were so colourful and vibrant. I absolutely love attending school visits. The children's creativity is infectious and hearing them so inspired to create gives me further inspiration to continue doing what I love. Thank you Chudleigh Knighton School for making me so very welcome and a big thank you to Sian Kingdon for organising the visit.
