Aloha Summer vintage style, retro quote poster is created by award-winning Devon artist, Becky Bettesworth. Her quotes and vintage-style seaside prints and posters are inspired by the classic 1930s travel posters.

Aloha is the Hawaiian word for love, affection, peace, compassion, and mercy and is commonly used as a simple greeting. For native Hawaiians, the term has a deeper spiritual significance also meaning “a force that holds together an existence.

"I love the freedom and peace I feel when out on my surfboard. I have always wanted to create a girly surfing artwork that encapsulates the feeling and I hope that this artwork brings this to life."

Aloha Summer brings a fresh Summer feeling with a reminder to enjoy life to its fullest and that there is no occasion where it isn't possible to wear flowers in your hair whilst riding a wave! Surfing is one of the most popular and most preferred water sports in the world, and luckily for us, we have some amazing world-class surfing beaches and man-made sources such as The Wave in Bristol. If you find yourself too far from any of these surfing locations then you can also surf in boat wakes and tidal bores. Grab a board, you are never too old to try this!
