Sail GP is a prestigious World Class Grand Prix sailing competition, so I was over the moon to be commissioned to create their official poster for the third event in the Global Championship calendar for Plymouth.

The opening event was in Bermuda in May, followed by Chicago in June and it is fabulous that this one is taking place in Plymouth on 30-31st July.

This will be an incredible event to watch and it is amazing that this world class event is happening in the South West, which I feel very proud to be about and honoured to be asked to create the official poster for.

I wanted the artwork to show the magnificence of these high class boats which are high performance F50 foiling Catamarans , travelling up and out of the water at insane speeds of over 53 knots or 61 m.p.h. Sail GP is the worlds most competitive racing on water and is the formula one of the Seas. I wanted the poster to portray the majestic speed and grandeur of the event and boats and I am delighted and love my final artwork. Showing the iconic Smeatons Tower Lighthouse which centres the artwork and is the centrepiece of Plymouth Hoe, making it one of the South Wests most iconic landmarks.

This picture is the launch of my new range of event and sporting posters alongside the National and European Cadet Championships which is also being held in Torbay and both are available to purchase.

Trained at Bath School of Art and exhibited at the Mall Galleries' Not The Turner Prize, with a national award for her creative work along the way.

Inspired by the coastline

Every piece grows out of the Devon coast Becky's walked for over twenty years, capturing the colours and moods of the British seaside.

Made, packaged and shipped with care from her studio

Every order is prepared by hand in Becky's own studio, not a warehouse, with the same care that goes into the art itself.

Meet Becky

Becky paints from her studio in Devon, with the coastline running through everything. She made her name with vintage-style seaside travel posters, and now creates handmade resin pieces built around love and connection.

Before turning to her own studio, she trained at Bath School of Art and spent years as an award-winning art director in London, going on to exhibit in London galleries.

Materials, Framing & Care

Materials

Printed on high-quality artist paper, true to the original colours and detail of each piece. A1 prints are made to special order on giclée paper for the sharpest possible finish - please allow up to 7 days lead time for these.

Framing

Every frame is made by hand to order, so framed pieces take 10–14 working days to despatch. Crafted from white grained wood with an optional double mount, and glazed with acrylic rather than glass for safe transit, giving the same look without the breakage risk.

Caring For Your Piece

Keep your print or poster out of direct sunlight to protect the colours, and avoid rooms with big swings in temperature or damp, both of which can cause the paper or frame to warp over time. If you're framing it yourself, dry mounting and professional framing are both great options.
